Loraine Saxton

Hello everyone, Ohio State graduate here (go Bucks!); obtaining my DVM degree in 1999 and joining BCPH part-time in March, 2017.  Those who frequent the Olmsted Falls location may have met me.  I have a passion for herbal holistic care including home cooked diets.  I am currently pursuing botanical certification and my hope is to augment patient care with science-based herbs and nutraceuticals, whether they are having a bout of GI distress from a parasite or they are at the end of life due to cancer. For those desiring a holistic approach ONLY for their animals, I wish to eventually serve in that capacity, helping you wade through internet "wonder hypes" and being a trusted source (I am currently deep into the myths, the facts and the promise of CBD oil)

My family  has a small farm (milk goats, sheep, poultry) and I am active in 4-H, having served as a club advisor.  I also enjoy volunteering for Canine Companion for Independence, having successfully raised my first puppy (from 8wks to 18 months) for the organization with our youngest daughter.  Our family also has a Border Collie, 3 working Great Pyrenees and 3 feline friends!  Never a dull moment!  I look forward to getting to know more of you through your furry family members!
